  • Choosing pots: Make sure the pots have good drainage to prevent root rot. Succulents prefer soils that dry out quickly, so it's important to choose porous clay or ceramic pots.

  • Suitable soil: Use soil for cacti and succulents, or mix your own combination of perlite, sand and potting soil. This will help improve drainage and prevent excess moisture.

  • Sunlight: Succulents need at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day. Place the plants in a location where they receive even sunlight to prevent them from becoming leggy or etiolated.

  • Moderate watering : Although succulents are plants that store water in their leaves and stems, it is important not to overwater. Let the soil dry completely between waterings to avoid root rot.

  • Fertilization: Apply a diluted balanced fertilizer every 2-3 months during the growing season (spring and summer). Avoid over-fertilizing, as this can damage your succulents.

  • Regular maintenance: Remove any wilted or damaged leaves to encourage healthy growth. You can also prune your succulents to maintain their desired shape and size.

  • Winter Protection: If you live in an area with cold winters, protect your succulents from extreme cold and excessive moisture. Consider moving them indoors or covering them with a cloth during cold nights.

By following these simple tips, you can enjoy beautiful succulents on your balcony all year round. Feel free to experiment with different varieties and create your own succulent garden at home!

I hope these tips are helpful in your gardening adventure. Until the next post!
